A brief slide show presenting the two exhibitions created by The Shackles of Memory:
- “Slaveries”: the second part of the exhibition of the Community Museum of Bamendjinda (Cameroon), “Arts, Traditions and Slaveries” in partnership with the project “The Route of the Chefferies”. Inauguration in December 2009.
- “From Ayiti de Haiti, Liberty Won” and “Paimboeuf in the slave trade”, presented at the Hangar in Paimboeuf from June 18th to September 19th, 2010.
Since the important, historical exhibition, “The Shackles of Memory”, concerning the triangle trade and the role that Nantes’ port played therein, the association has participated in a multitude of cultural actions within France and internationally; exhibitions having always had a fundamental place amongst these actions.
The Shackles of Memory’s documentary collection is composed of more than 250 books and documents on the following topics:
- slavery
- other forms of slavery
- the Abolition of the Atlantic slave trade
- the legacies
- African and West Indian civilizations
- the migrations
Touring exhibition: "Nantes looks at it's history from the 15th to the 21st century"
The association The Shackles of Memory offers an exhibition comprised of 13 panels of 80 x 150cm (31.50 x 59 inches), richly illustrated about the slave trade and slavery themes. The exhibition is suitable for students from lower school to high school, as well as the general public.

THE PEDAGOGICAL KIT "THE SHACKLES OF MEMORY", support material for school courses and a documentary foundation about the slave trade and slavery.
In an effort to continue the historical and memoir projects, the association has created a pedagogical kit intended for the young public.

The kit is suitable for students from lower school to high school, as well as the general public. It can be used as a stepping stone to sensitize the youth about vast topics such as human rights, democracy, peace (oppression, discrimination, the process towards liberty, racism...).

“Memoire of migrations. Tolerance, intolerance” catalogue
Catalogue of the exhibition “Memoire of migrations. Tolerance, intolerance”, presented in Nantes from October 3, 1998 to March 31, 1999. This exhibition retraces the history of migrations (immigrations and emigrations) that occurred in Nantes, and the surrounding region, from the Middle Ages up to the 1970‘s.

Pamphlet "On Nantes' remnants, a slave trade port"
For the occasion of May 10, 2007, the association The Shackles of Memory published a pamphlet outlining a route from the East to the West of Nantes with various stops, evoking the slave trade. The pamphlet, destined for both Nantes natives as well as visitors, aims to guide those interested through the city of Nantes so as to experience part of it's, and the surrounding region's, history.
The pamphlet is free.

Brochure "Barbechat, Nantes, Paimboeuf : on the remnants of the slave trade"
For the occasion of May 10, 2008, the Shackles of Memory decided to publish a brochure, for the inhabitants and visitors of the Loire-Atlantique, which presents a non-exhaustive inventory of sites related to the history of the slave trade. The brochure "Barbechat, Nantes, Paimboeuf: on the remnants of the slave trade" was ensued from the brochure "On Nantes' remnants, a slave trade port" (available in English), which completes the information outlined regarding the important sites around Nantes (Rezé, Montbert, Vertou, Aigrefeuille, Château Thébaud, La Montagne…etc., and of course, Paimbœuf). 32 color pages

An awareness pamphlet "For a museum dedicated to the trade and slavery in Nantes"
This pamphlet presents the reflective work carried out in 2001 by many organizations in Nantes with the goal of founding a museum dedicated to the trade and slavery in Nantes. It oultines the process and chronology of the Atlantic slave trade and slavery in the Americas.
