The Nantes-based association Les Anneaux de la Mémoire produced a program on themes related to the history of slavery, broadcast on Radio Fidélité in Pays de la Loire from 2016 to 2020. Presented by Barbara Chiron, coordinator of the association, and the historian Bernard Michon, lecturer at the University of Nantes, the program opens up pages, often dark and unknown, of international history, whose legacies resonate in our current societies. From Antiquity to more contemporary periods, with a particular attention to the history of the European colonial trade, the program approaches the history of slavery, with a concern for historical objectivity and understanding. Guests, specialists and historians, are present on each program to offer us their insights.
